![]() First, Portillo is the 6th best ski resort in the world and the oldest in South America. Not only does it have the most beautiful ski conditions uncrowded slopes, majestic Andean mountains and loads of snow it has a big personality Portillo is more like a boutique ski resort that feels like a private club and it is known for being very fun and very social.. Nobody starts skiing too early in the morning and everything happens at a leisurely pace. Several times a year, the mountain sponsors wine tasting weeks you can only imagine that meals here are huge social events and dinners last late into the night! If you're skiing here, you'll want your coat to reflect the unpretentious atmosphere and lighthearted personality of the mountain. This years Fall Winter 2004 Ready-to-wear shows presented the most fun furs ever. What's more, there were shrugs, marshmallow coats, sheared mink pullovers, and even Valentino showed ski bunny-style coats. Interesting that both the conventional Celine and the avant-garde Dries Van Noten both did fur pullovers. Lagerfeld created the ultimate James Bond ski jacket in white with white fur. But for Portillo, the Micheal Kors hat and neck warmers with pom-pom seem to catch the spirit of the resort perfectly! Not only that, but you'll be warm! |
