![]() Remember après ski boots? Well , they're baaaack! And they're also bigger (ie: fluffier) than ever. Anna Sui showed the most recognizable pair of boots in her collection you'll recognize them from Aspen or an early Elton John concert. Think of the fluffiest, furriest après ski boot crossed with a moon boot. This seasons boot has an exaggerated platform heel that Elton would die for. But Anna Sui is known for her mix of thrift store and with her collection of boots she really delved right back into 1970's ski fashion. What good clean fun! Lagerfeld came out with some fabulous boots for Fendi. His wedge heeled fur boots looked extremely practical and warm - made of Mongolian lamb or trimmed in shear ling and then covered in flowers all the way up the front of the leg. They were just stunning. The most wearable and interesting boots of all though were Veronique Branquinho's. She always designs clothes that appeal to a feminine sense of what's pretty but also what works. She did a lot of her usual - leggings worn with knee-high boots worn with tweedy knee-length skirts. But the boots themselves were spectacular - high-heeled cowboy boot in brown leather with fur and toggle buttons making their way up the side of the leg. Finally, Helmut Lang went for the glitzy boot - he did a short boot made of suede and fur with a wedge heel. These boots were definitely made for walking. But probably not for walking in too much snow! |
