Fur for men will be sexier than ever next fall and winter. The fall 2003 men's collections showed mostly one-of-a-kind, handcrafted pieces. The best were the fur-lined shearlings with details like embroideries, patches and visible, even exaggerated seams. Not every designer in Milan showed men's furs so the few coats that did appear looked particularly unique and memorable.

If Milan is anything to go by, then, men should get ready for an Arctic moment next winter: In the world according to Roberto Cavalli, men will dress like explorers in Lapland for nights out at Studio 54. At Cavalli's show, the models looked like tribe of longhaired nomads covered in raccoon, fox and wolf skins and lumpy Lap motif sweaters - lots of reindeer embroidery! Could get very hot on the dance floor in that outfit, especially if you worn with Cavalli's wild skin boots.

Armani went for the BIG fur as well. Like Cavalli, Armani's giant heavy-seamed sheepskin shearling coats also looked slightly caveman inspired.

Trussardi did the opposite with close fitting pony skin jackets dyed in jeweled colors like emerald and ruby, and lined with luxurious fur.

But of all the men's furs shown in Milan, Versace was the hottest! Every model was styled in the scruffy chic style of England's football (soccer) star David Beckam. The Versace furs were shearling and worn casually with cowboy hats or baseball caps. It looked buffed and sexy and clean while at the same time, just a little messed up. Really Gorgeous!
