If you’ve never shopped the sales in London, now is the time. We’ve identified a few fur deals so your flight will pay for itself with your savings.

Serious bargain shoppers start at Harrods. And while there are no full fur coats for sale, there are Max Mara mink trimmed -coats at 40% off. While you’re there, check out the housewares department - linens, duvets and towel sales at Harrods are quite literally -a steal.

Joseph’s , a London boutique with stores on Sloane Avenue as well as boutiques in Harvey Nichols, Bond Street and Westbourne Grove, has a nice selection of Sheepskin coats on sale and they also carry Prada and other top designers so you might even find one of the few remaining fur Prada jackets on sale.

But the FUR FIND of the week is at Brown’s, a super trendy designer clothing boutique on S. Molton Street. As we were going to press, they had one Jil Sander mink coat (size 38). It is the only item in the store not officially on sale - £9260.00 (roughly $13,890 US). BUT the saleswoman said, “We’ll reduce it if it fits and you like it. Otherwise, Brown’s also has two Marni coats - one, an A-line coat with mink and the other -sheared weasel. Both are marked down from £5700.00( roughly, $8,550 US) to £2855.00 ($4282.00 US)- almost half price!!!

Lastly, Brown’s (again at press time) had two leather and sheepskin coats, a long one for. £1130 (was £1500.00 or $2250.00 US). The second is on sale for £1085 ($1600.00 US) from £1400.00 ($2100.00 US).

With air fare on Virgin and American this month at $280.00 Round trip, you simply can’t afford NOT to go to London for the sales and buy a fur coat!
