Over 300 guests crowded into the Ventaglio Cafe on March 21 for the annual North American Fur Association (NAFA) Evening in Milan 2002, watching a runway show spectacular surrounding them in the circular space by a panorama of eight Sony mega screens. NAFA's traditional show held during the Mifur Milan fur fair presented NAFA mink, fox and wild fur pelts interpreted by Italian fur designers.

Natural NAFA Black, Mahogany, Pearl and White mink were shown, plus sheared and dyed mink, NAFA Silver Fox reversible on black leather and Canadian and American coyotes, raccoons, sables, lynx cats from the NAFA Northern label. Designers working their magic included Angelo Danzi, de Carlis, Ego by Lorenzo Scarpi, Groenlandia Peleteria, Jun, Mila Schon, Rindi, Scherrer, Solleciti, Thes Tziveli and Tosato 1928.

Continuously projecting on the eight mega screens were images of the NAFA runway show alternating with images of fur details and special workmanship.

Tina Jagros, executive director of North American Fur Association, and Michael Mengar, president of North American Fur Auctions New York, were on hand to toast the season to come and participate in an awards ceremony for buyers who had purchased Top Pelt Lots during the January and February auctions.
