Don't be confused by the celebrated pronouncement that "Fur is Back!" this year. It might have become popular again, but what has helped fur regain its glitter is updated fashion. And while some fashion commentaries lately have referred to the inclusion of fur in designer collections as a sign of a return to '80s luxury, '80s fur fashions are definitely not back. The furs that took to the runways this spring bore little resemblance to the monster-shouldered power furs of 1986. They come in almost every other shape and size, though, and sometimes the fur is only a splash on a lapel or a stole or a pretty purse.
